meaningandthefamilybondingwastoitspeak.

TheDistricthasalsoappreciatedthegreatserviceactivitiesdonebyMidtownandtheECOactivities

especiallytheplantationbytheMiyawakimethod,hadaspecialmentionattheICGF.

Alothasbeenplannedfortheyear,Septemberwillalsospellalotofactivity.Butthiswouldbesuccessful

onlywithyourparticipationandinvolvement.

During2019-2020,IamencouragingRotariansandRotaractorstogrowRotary.We

must grow our service, we must grow the impact of our projects, but, most

importantly,wemustgrowourmembershipsothatwecanachievemore.

Letustryanewapproachtomembership,onethatismoreorganizedandstrategic.I

amaskingeveryclubtoformanactivemembershipcommitteeconsistingofpeopleof

diﬀerentbackgroundswhowilllookmethodicallyattheleadershipofthecommunity.

Yourclub'smembershipcommitteewillthenapplyRotary'sclassiicationsystem—designedtoensure

thattherangeofprofessionsinyour-communityiswellrepresented—toidentifypotentialleaderswith

theskill,thetalent,andthecharacterthatwillstrengthenyourclub.Ifyourclub'smembershipcommittee

isunsurehowtoproceed,looktotheclub membershipcommitteecheckliston Rotary.orgforclearly

deinedstepstoorganizingitswork.

HowelsewillweconnecttogrowRotary?Wewillalsoformnewtypesofclubs—eitherindependentclubs

orsatelliteclubs—withdiﬀerentmeetingexperiencesandengagingserviceopportunities,notjustwhere

thereisnoRotary,butalsowhereRotaryisalreadythriving.NoRotaryclubintheworldcanpossiblyserve

allsegmentsofitscommunity.Therefore,wemustorganizenewclubstoengagethecommunityleaders

whocannotconnectwithourexistingclubs.

GrowingRotaryisallabouttakingtheconnectionsthatmakeourorganizationuniqueintheworldand

strengtheningandmultiplyingthem.LetuscommitourselvestogrowingRotaryandtowelcomingthe

nextdiversegenerationofwomenandmenasRotaryConnectstheWorld.

High School, YellagundaPalya.  Our club Rotarians

andAnnsparticipated.

Eachschoolkitcontainedthefollowingmaterials:

Around 300 students were beneitted. School

MallyaRoad,Bangalore@7:00pm.

Mr.SubodhKumarco-foundedLiv.aiwiththevisionofgivingavoicetoIndia’sbillion-

plus people. The company’s speech-to-text APIenables fast and accurate speech

recognition,convertingaudio,eitherfromamicrophoneorfromaile,totextinnine

Indianlanguages.“Whileabigshareofthepopulationknowshowtouseplatforms

suchasWhatsApp,theyfacethechallengeofcommunicating/typinginEnglish.

KumarisacomputersciencegraduatefromIITKharagpurandhasabusinessdegree

fromIIMBangalore.He initiallyjoinedCitigroupasan investment banker andlater movedto Microsoftbefore

embarking on the journey to start Liv.ai. Kumar believesin hiring the most capable people and giving them

theindependencetheyneed.Healsobelievesthatfailureisallright,providedonelearnsfromit.

Since its inception in 2015, Rotary Midtown has

associated itself with HSIS dispensary. Happy to

month.  Cost of medicine Rs. 3,27,854/- Project
